Background
This multidistrict litigation includes approximately a dozen purported class action cases filed by consumers who purchased Blue Buffalo brand pet foods. Plaintiffs allege that Blue Buffalo made false and misleading representations about the ingredients in its pet food products, including misrepresenting the products as free of poultry by-product, grains, and artificial preservatives. Plaintiffs bring claims under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act and various state-based causes of action.
